Chopped strand mat

For the pultrusion process, hand molding, injection and RTM

Glass mats are produced from chopped yarn with a powder or emulsion binder. The surface density of glass fiber mats varies from 300 to 600 g/m2, width varies from 6 to 340 cm.

Chopped strand mats are used for the production of fiberglass shells of boats and yachts, pools, tanks and pipes

Material features high-speed resin impregnation, high tensile strength and good draping properties.

Powder and emulsion chopped strand mats are rolls of non-woven fabrics consisting of chopped strands of glass fiber, randomly arranged in a horizontal plane and connected together with a powder binder that melts during the manufacturing process at a temperature of about 120 °C, binds strands of glass fiber together.
